Dragging a Fib tool mid-lecture invites fiddling. Paper charts force the argument onto anchors and zones instead of colours and line widths.
The first hours of the Retracement Intensive ban charting software. Not because screens are wrong, but because software makes it too easy to adjust anchors until the story feels comfortable.
What paper changes
On paper you commit. A pencil line across 61.8% is either near a prior shelf or it is not. You cannot nudge the high by three pixels to make the narrative prettier. Pair review becomes a conversation about judgment instead of a hunt for the right button.
How we return to screens
Afternoon sessions allow laptops so you can transfer the same sequence to your usual platform. The rule remains: speak the anchors before the overlay appears. If you cannot describe the swing without looking at the Fib tool palette, return to the printed packet.
Takeaway for home practice
Print one historical swing each week. Mark it once. Only then open the platform and recreate the grid. The delay is the lesson.
